Ready to experience the best of Bali and its incredible culture with this 10 day Bali travel Itinerary?
Bali was at the top of my Bucket List Travel list for years. I finally traveled to Bali for a vacation that was beyond my expectations. I have now had two amazing vacations in Bali.
It’s one of my favorite countries in Southeast Asia.
Like all of my travel planning, I spent days planning this 10 day Bali itinerary. I wanted to experience the best of the most popular island to visit in Indonesia. So, I set out to find the best places to visit in Bali, along with the best places to stay, the best things to do, and of course, the best places to eat local food.
Why travel to Bali?
The list is long–Beautiful beaches, lush tropical jungles, bright green rice fields, interesting wildlife (including monkeys!), friendly people, and…like most of Southeast Asia, traveling in Bali is inexpensive.
There are so many great options for where to travel in Bali, that it can get overwhelming to plan your Bali vacation itinerary.
I can help you plan an incredible trip. Below, is my Bali travel guide and detailed Bali tour itinerary.
How many Days in Bali?
It’s best if you have 10 days in Bali, so you can see a lot, experience different parts of the island, and get lots of relaxation time in. Use the 10 day Bali itinerary.
7 days in Bali is also great. Use the modified 7 day Bali itinerary.
f you only have 4 or 5 days in Bali, that’s good too. Use the 4 or 5 day Bali itinerary plan.
I have designed this Bali travel itinerary for anyone who wants to experience the best of Bali while traveling with kids, as a couple, or with friends, and it is perfect for a Bali honeymoon itinerary. My accommodation recommendations include some of the best hotels in Bali and are in the moderate to luxury categories.
*For the Bali honeymoon itinerary, I recommend staying in luxury-level hotels. Bali itinerary honeymoon

EAT
Where to eat in Ubud
Eat some local food in Ubid at some of the top-rated and most delicious restaurants and cafes. There is a great food scene in Ubud with as many organic vegan options as there are Balinese.
Wayan’s Coconut Juice Bar & Delivery- We loved stopping in every morning for a large bottle of fresh coconut water! The coconut yogurt, the fermented turmeric coconut water, and all of the other treats were also delicious.
Yellow Flower restaurant- My favorite local food restaurant in Penestanen that also served up one of the best breakfasts I have ever had (you must try the tropical smoothie bowl and the banana pancakes!)
Alchemy- Organic vegan and raw food amazingness! This beautiful contemporary restaurant has some of the best food in Ubud!
Zest- More yummy local, vegetarian food
Mesari Warung- Walk out into the country on Penestanen for this great local Balinese food (don’t miss the pet owls!)
Balinese Home Cooking- The name says it all
Sun Sun Warung- A great little waring with home-cooked Balinese food in the center of Ubud
Mark Weins of Migrationology recommends Warung Kintamani for great local fish
Kafe- Healthy local eats and coffee
Bridges- A popular place to go for a nice dinner out (make a reservation)
Gaya Gelato- Locally made ice cream
Bintang Supermarket is a great place to shop for food and drinks in the Penestanen area
For a delicious and healthy breakfast, head to Yellow Flower for their amazing smoothie bowl, or to Alchemy
Bali Travel Tip
It’s always good to learn some key phrases in the language of the country you are traveling to. Some of the most important is “Hello” and “Thank you.” In Balinese, say “Halo” for hello and “Terima kasih” for thank you,

10 days in Bali itinerary, continued…
2 Days Nusa Lembongan Itinerary
GET THERE
How to get to Nusa Lembongan
Take a fast ferry from Sanur. To go straight to Mushroom Beach, use the Marlin Fast Boat. To go to the main port, use Rocky or Scoot. These ferry companies also provide pick up and drop off to and from certain areas of Bali, for an additional fee. However, it may take a lot more time (and not save much if any money) since you may have to pick up other passengers.
Click here to book a driver to Sanur now
Travel Tip: Sanur is a fun beach town with a great walking and biking path along the beach. You may want to get there early to have breakfast or lunch and take a stroll (with your suitcase) along the beach to the ferry station. Be prepared to walk through the water to get onto the boat.

DO
Things to do on Nusa Lembongan
- Rent mopeds and ride over Yellow Bridge to Nusa Cenigan Island. Have lunch on the ocean at The Sand (then take a rest in hammocks!) Take the optional ride along the coast to see Blue Lagoon, then back over the Yellow Bridge. Check out Dream Beach and the treacherous Devils Tear cliff.
Moped Tip: Helmets are challenging to find last minute and I would not recommend riding a moped without one. Email your accommodations in advance and tell them if you would like to reserve mopeds (most hotels have them to rent) as well as helmets.
- Go snorkeling with a private guide! There are some fantastic snorkeling spots off of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida (the other island of the trio.) Having your own guide and boat will enable you to choose where you snorkel and how long you stay at each place.
- Rent a foam board and surf at Playgrounds Beach. Unless you are an advanced surfer, steer clear of nearby Lacerations!

EAT
- Eat on the beach at MolaMola House or at your accommodations.
