Chris likes to travel as much as I do (well, almost!) When he was 9, his family moved to Wales for one year. His dad was a Botany Professor and did a sabbatical there. They traveled around Europe and visited relatives in Denmark. When Chris was 12, he traveled all over South America for a month with his grandma. He has loved traveling with his own family and plans to keep taking the boys (and their future families) traveling and on vacation at any age.

Chris’s favorite things about worldwide travel are: Seeing historical sites, experiencing cultures, broadening my horizons

Best aspect about taking the kids: Creating memories, unexpected inside family jokes

Most interesting things he has seen: The Roman Coliseum, the Pantheon, the Parthenon, the 13th-century walled Mayan archaeological site at Tulum National Park, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Delphi in Greece

On the bucket list: Israel, Iceland, China, Palenque in Mexico, Chile…

The Boys

Meet Lucas

Lucas is a San Diego State University student (I know, lucky guy!) He is in the Weber Honors College and Sigma Chi. His major is Civil Engineering, which was inspired by a house building missions trip to Mexico. Lucas is a musician and these days mostly plays the guitar. Basketball, Spikeball, skateboarding, the beach, and hiking are some of his favorite things to do. Lucas was only 4 months old on his first vacation to Hawaii. He was so cute that we were upgraded to business class (best flight ever!)

Lucas’s favorite things about worldwide travel are: Experiencing different cultures and getting to see the world, there is nothing else like it.

Funniest travel moment: When we were in Cambodia and Gavin put coffee creamer in lukewarm water thinking it would make coffee or seeing Aiden’s reaction to someone trying to put a monkey on him in Morocco.

Best thing about going with the fam: They pay for everything and getting to spend quality time.

Most interesting things he has seen: Stonehenge, the Wats of Cambodia, Cave tubing in San Ignacio, Belize

On the bucket list: Iceland, Thailand, India, and Australia
